I am a Licensed Psychotherapist in Pennsylvania, with grief & trauma counseling specialties. It is my passion to help individuals quiet the mind and overcome challenges that are interfering with their lives. As we struggle to understand ourselves and the world we live in, we may feel tired, lonely, and helpless. I know exhaustion, irritability and uncertainty can be overwhelming, and seeking help will bring relief.
As a Black therapist, my lived experiences have allowed me to use a person-centered approach to be culturally-sensitive and attuned to each person I work with, particularly BIPOC population. I understand that no single approach is the right one for everyone and it is important to tailor the therapy approach to each individual and meet each person where they are.
As such, I use various approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Humanistic Therapy, Integrative/Holistic Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My resume is colored with a wide variety of experience that profoundly impacts my work with people. A great deal of my professional practice has been working with individuals, groups, couples and families, substance abuse, and LGBTQIA+ populations.
I have worked with adults and teens on trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, depression & anxiety, behavior modification, inner child issues, identity and self-esteem issues, substance abuse, stress and anger management, parent-child interactions, personality disorders, relationship issues, abandonment, and Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) related issues.
My style is relaxed, yet structured which is congruent with my personality and everyday way of being. I believe this to be important because I know if I’m not genuine in my interactions with you, then it becomes more challenging for you to be genuine in your interactions with me. And, when you feel safe to be real with me, we can work on how these issues carry over into the rest of your life and build a toolkit for success.

Born and raised in the dynamic and sometimes challenging streets of Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, my early years served as a crucible for developing resilience and determination. These formative experiences instilled in me a profound understanding of the importance of overcoming obstacles and embracing challenges. From the outset, I was fueled by a burning desire to not only navigate my own path but also to motivate and inspire others along their journeys. This early affirmation became a guiding force, shaping my aspirations and influencing my approach to life.
In my current role as a communication liaison, I've translated these values into action. My mission is to infuse our team and the broader community with the same sense of empowerment that fueled my own personal growth. Through strategic communication and thoughtful engagement, I aim to raise awareness and create a positive ripple effect that extends beyond immediate circles.
I believe in the transformative power of a motivating and empowering learning environment. By fostering a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continual growth, I strive to contribute to lasting positive impacts.
My commitment to making a difference is not just a professional endeavor; it's a reflection of the lessons learned and the values ingrained during my journey from the streets of Brooklyn to the corridors of communication.
As I continue on this path, I am driven by the belief that every individual has the potential to overcome challenges and achieve greatness. Through my experiences and dedication, I aspire to be a beacon of connection and inspiration, illuminating the way for others to discover their own strength and resilience.
